Definitions

• “Local” refers to a registered individual who possesses knowledge of a particular local area and has signed up with LocalNearU to connect with other users for the purposes of providing local guidance, participating in activities, and offering companionship or friendship.
• “User” refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Site. Unless otherwise specified, the term “User” includes both registered Locals and non-Local users of the Site.
• “Site”, “we”, “our”, or “us” refer to LocalNearU.

I. General

1.1 Purpose of the Site

LocalNearU is an online platform that allows individuals (“Locals”) to create profiles and connect with other users seeking companionship, friendship, local activities, or shared interests.

LocalNearU is intended to facilitate introductions only. We do not arrange, supervise, or participate in meetings between Locals and Users.

1.2 Eligibility

You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to register or use the Site. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

1.3 Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account or continuing to use the Site, you agree to comply with these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws.

II. Local Membership

Locals may create a profile and offer companionship or friendship through the Site. Local membership is free of charge.

III. Identity Verification

3.1 Verification

Locals may be required to provide a valid government-issued identification document (including ID card) to verify their identity for the client.

3.2 Confidentiality

We will not store verification documents and they are never displayed publicly.

3.3 Use of Verification Information

Identification documents may only be used for:

• gain client trust;
• fraud prevention;
• compliance with applicable law;
• responding to lawful requests from authorities.

IV. Local Responsibilities

Locals agree to:

• provide truthful information;
• keep account credentials secure;
• comply with all applicable laws;
• respect other users;
• use the Site only for its intended purpose.

Locals and Users are solely responsible for their interactions with others.

V. Prohibited Conduct

Locals must not:

• impersonate another person;
• create multiple accounts to deceive others;
• harass, threaten, intimidate, or stalk users;
• upload false or misleading information;
• commit fraud or scams;
• send spam or unsolicited advertisements;
• collect personal information without permission;
• post illegal, defamatory, hateful, or violent content;
• upload sexually explicit content;
• offer or solicit prostitution or other illegal sexual services;
• use the Site for unlawful purposes.

LocalNearU may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

VI. Safety

LocalNearU is only a platform connecting Locals and Users.

We do not guarantee:

• the identity of any user;
• the accuracy of profile information;
• compatibility between users;
• the safety of meetings.

Locals and Users should exercise appropriate caution when communicating or meeting anyone through the Site. Any meetings arranged through the Site are undertaken entirely at the own risk of the Locals and Users.

VII. Privacy

Locals understand that profile information they choose to publish may be visible to other users.

VIII. Local Content

Locals retain ownership of content they upload.

By uploading content to LocalNearU, Users grant LocalNearU a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute such content solely for operating, maintaining, promoting, and improving the Site.

Locals must only upload content they own or have permission to use.

IX. Suspension and Termination

LocalNearU reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that:

• violates these Terms;
• engages in illegal activity;
• threatens the safety of users;
• abuses the platform;
• provides false identity information.

Termination may occur without prior notice where reasonably necessary to protect the Site or its users.

X. Limitation of Liability

LocalNearU is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LocalNearU shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:

• use of the Site;
• inability to use the Site;
• disputes between users;
• offline meetings;
• loss of data;
• inaccurate user information;
• acts or omissions of other users.

Locals assume all risks associated with using the platform.

XI. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

XII. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which LocalNearU operates, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
